REMINDER: How to Prevent Corrupt PDFs in MyFunding?

As a reminder, corrupted PDF files uploaded in MyFunding or the SF-424 can cause validation errors. Please see the below tips to ensure that corrupted files are not uploaded:
  • Verify that all PDF attachments can be opened in Adobe before uploading the files in MyFunding.
  • Check the document name for accuracy. (For example, do not name the document “biosketch.doc.doc.pdf”)
  • If the origin of the document is unknown, resave the file as a PDF.

Request for PI Certification - Tips

The following tips can be used to ensure the ‘PI Certification request’ is sent correctly. If the Principal Investigator (PI) has not received the certification request after the below tips have been applied, please contact the PERIS™ Team at peristeam@pitt.edu. Tip No. 1 Ensure the correct user profile is selected. Search by the PI’s Pitt username (USER ID filter) in an advanced search (see Figure 1). Figure 1.

Budget Reconciliation for Awards in MyFunding

Once the Department balances the budget on the Budget Reconciliation Page in Awards, the ‘Difference’ in the ‘Current Allocation’ table will become zero. Please note: No calculations are performed in the ‘All Allocations’ table. Therefore, ignore those figures when reconciling the budget (see Figure 1 for example).
