Known Issues

MyFunding Status

The underlying cause that resulted in MyFunding performance issues has been identified and resolved. MyFunding is fully functional and stable. Thank you for your patience and understanding while the PERIS™ team worked to resolve the issues.

MyFunding Status Update

MyFunding is currently functional, including the system-to-system (S2S) feature. The underlying cause of the issues is still being investigated. Therefore, until MyFunding is more stable, departments may want to continue their S2S applications in ASSIST or Workspace for proposals due on or before Friday, February 21, 2020 to avoid potential duplication of work. If you notice any issues, please do not hesitate to alert the PERIS™ team.

ALERT: System-to-System Functionality

The System-to-System functionality in MyFunding is currently not working. All federal proposals due on or before Friday, February 21, 2020 that would normally be submitted via System-to-System are allowed to be submitted via grants.gov Workspace or NIH ASSIST. These proposals should be marked as “Other (Submitted By Office of Sponsored Programs)” (similar to how NSF FastLane proposals are submitted). The PERIS™ team is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and will alert users once full functionality is restored.

Progress Report Publication List Required for Resubmissions of Fellowship Applications in MyFunding

A required component of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) individual fellowship, “F series”, application is a PHS Fellowship Supplemental Form. This form should be completed in accordance with applicable Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) and agency specific policies and requirements.

SF-424 Personnel Order Consistency

How can I keep my personnel order consistent in both the MyFunding budget and the SF-424 grant application? The only individual who maps to the same location on the SF-424 as on the MyFunding budget is the Principal Investigator. All other personnel will display in a random order on the SF-424. However, these names can be moved manually on the SF-424 to be consistent with the MyFunding budget, if desired. This randomness of personnel order is currently being evaluated and will be addressed in a future upgrade to the MyFunding module.

Where Should Graduate Student Fringe Benefits be Listed on the SF-424 in MyFunding?

Since the University of Pittsburgh’s Federally Negotiated Rate Agreement excludes Graduate Student Fringe Benefits (GSFB) from the application of Indirect Costs, the GSFB must be listed as a General Cost when developing a budget in the MyFunding module to ensure that Indirect Costs are not applied to the GSFB. Once the SF-424 is subsequently generated, the GSFB costs should be manually moved from the Other Direct Costs section (Section F of the SF-424):
